CARBON 4 SOIL QUALITY + builds on the results of the CARBON 4 SOIL QUALITY study phase by testing and validating carbon farming solutions in real Mediterranean farming conditions. Addressing challenges such as soil degradation, loss of organic matter and climate change, the project works with farmers, advisors and decision-makers to promote practices that improve soil health, strengthen agricultural resilience and support climate mitigation across the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Building on the knowledge generated during the study phase, the focus of C4SQ+ is to transform research into practice by testing and validating carbon farming practices and socio-economic models across seven Mediterranean territories. Through pilot testing and stakeholder engagement, the project will generate practical evidence and transferable solutions that improve soil quality, enhance carbon sequestration and support the wider uptake of carbon farming throughout the Mediterranean region.
